elie.haddad@umontreal.ca<\/a><\/p>\n Mon programme se situe au carrefour entre la clinique et la recherche, ce qui me permet de comprendre les m\u00e9canismes des maladies immunitaires, d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les r\u00e9sultats des traitements utilis\u00e9s et de d\u00e9velopper de nouvelles strat\u00e9gies th\u00e9rapeutiques. Mon programme de recherche translationnel qui combine de la recherche clinique et fondamentale est divis\u00e9 en 4 grands th\u00e8mes: (1) Recherche sur les\u00a0cellules immunitaires cytotoxiques<\/strong>, principalement les cellules Natural Killer (NK); (2)\u00a0G\u00e9nie g\u00e9n\u00e9tique pour l’immunoth\u00e9rapie du cancer,<\/strong> se basant sur les technologies des r\u00e9cepteurs d\u2019antig\u00e8ne chim\u00e9rique (CAR) et de promoteur sp\u00e9cifiques synth\u00e9tiques, et exploitant notamment le potentiel des cellules NK et des cellules souche h\u00e9matopo\u00ef\u00e9tiques (HSC); (3) Mod\u00e9lisation des maladies \u00e0 m\u00e9diation immunitaire, \u00e0 la fois immunod\u00e9ficiences et dysr\u00e9gulation immunitaire (virale et auto-immune), en utilisant des\u00a0mod\u00e8les de souris humanis\u00e9es<\/strong>, et (4) \u00a0d\u00e9ficits immunitaires primitifs et la biologie des cellules souche h\u00e9matopo\u00ef\u00e9tiques dans un contexte de greffe. <\/strong>Mon laboratoire tire avantages des derni\u00e8res technologies de pointes en biologie mol\u00e9culaire afin de les mettre \u00e0 profit dans le d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles immunoth\u00e9rapies ainsi que dans l\u2019avancement des connaissances de la biologie des cellules immunitaires telles que les cellules NK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n My program is at the crossroads between the clinic and fundamental research, which allows me to understand the underlying mechanisms of immune diseases, improve the results of existing treatments and develop new therapeutic strategies. My translational research program which combines clinical and basic research is divided into 4 main themes: (1) Research on cytotoxic immune cells<\/strong>, mainly Natural Killer (NK) cells; (2) Genetic engineering for cancer immunotherapy<\/strong>, based on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and synthetic specific promoter technologies, and exploiting, in particular, the potential of NK cells and hematopoietic stem cells (HSC); (3) Modeling of immune-mediated diseases, both immunodeficiencies and immune dysregulation (viral and autoimmune), using humanized mouse models<\/strong>, and (4) primary immune deficiencies and hematopoietic stem cell biology in a context of graft.
