It offers students top-quality training perfectly aligned with current technological realities and multidisciplinary approaches.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1335 alignnone\" title=\"biologie_systemes\" src=\"https:\/\/biomol.umontreal.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/biologie_systemes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/biomol.umontreal.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/biologie_systemes.jpg 375w, https:\/\/biomol.umontreal.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/biologie_systemes-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/admission.umontreal.ca\/programmes\/maitrise-en-biologie-moleculaire\/\">Master&#8217;s degree in Molecular Biology, Systems Biology option<\/a>, is offered through two pathways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An intensive\/accelerated one-year pathway during which, alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/biomol.umontreal.ca\/programme-academique\/les-cours\/\">coursework<\/a>, you will complete two laboratory rotations and attend intensive courses at the Summer School, allowing you, among other things, to become familiar with the institute&#8217;s 11 platforms.<\/li>\n<li>A two-year &#8220;traditional&#8221; pathway with a thesis. Alongside your research project, you will attend intensive courses at the Summer School, allowing you, among other things, to become familiar with the institute&#8217;s 11 platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both pathways take place within the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), in one or two of its 29 research teams.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/admission.umontreal.ca\/programmes\/doctorat-en-biologie-moleculaire\/\">PhD in Molecular Biology, Systems Biology option<\/a>, allows you to acquire the concepts and practical skills of systems biology, based on high-throughput technologies such as genomics and proteomics.
